Curious about colors?
Dyes and fabrics are done in lots. Each lot is different from the others and the process is like baking an apple pie, no two are exactly alike. We do our best to keep all the shirts within your order as close as possible. Sometimes we do use another brand if the color consistency or a lot of a particular size is not up to our standards. 50/50 or 100%?
We offer 2 basic tee shirt options, the 50/50 and this one - the Gildan 100%. To read advantages of the 50/50, please visit it's page and read it's tips.
50/50 or 100% cotton? Since you're on the 100% cotton page, I'll share the advantage: Cotton is soft and comfortable. It's basically an issue of preference and comes down to the feel of the shirt. 50/50's are a bit more durable, less shrinkage, etc. Although the 100% cotton shirts are preshrunk, it has a little more shrinking to do and is sized larger to accommodate this.
If you are going to order white tee-shirts, Definitely get 100% cotton - the white is whiter and the issue of see-thru is a lot less than 50/50.
Why did we pick the Gildan brand over the very popular Hanes Beefy-T™? They are both heavyweight 6.1 oz. cotton. The Gildan shirt uses a long cotton fiber which creates a smooth surface. This gives the Gildan shirt a more modern feel and makes our screenprinted design look terrific.
The Hanes Beefy-T uses a shorter fiber (this why the shirt feels so thick and comfortable). But those fuzzy fibers create a barrier to the ink and will work their way thru the design more than a long fiber. It's called fibrillation, it's a nice fancy word, you will never encounter it again and we can't agree on how to spell it. Getting Colors to Play Nice
One of the best features of using Gildan® brand t-shirts for your next custom t-shirt order is being able to choose from consistent colors. You can mix short sleeve, long sleeve shirts, tank tops, even sweatshirts and all use the same colors.
